Wonderful day at Omeath

Good forecast for today. Wind was 18-20mph NNE at Omeath. Always felt that this site needed a strong wind to achieve its full potential and I wasn't disappointed . Fantastic climbs with views  beautiful views towards Rostrevor and Newry to the north and Carlingford mountain, Clermont Cairn and Dundalk to the south.

Beautiful Carlingford from the air this evening

Today's promising forecast was spoilt by drizzle early today. But flying at Carlingford mountain this evening more than made up for  it.

Mayobridge's Northerly Site

Flying today at Mayobridge's Northerly site. Winds on the strong side but needed at this site. Lots of thermals and easy to make cloudbase.

Short video of today's flight.

Shelling Hill- Coastal Coaring Saturday 20th April

Shelling was the only option today in a strengthening SSW wind as Slieve Foye was blown out (but the hike up was good exercise). Winds at Shelling Hill soon became too strong but Alan, Uli and my self had an enjoyable hour coastal soaring.

Mayobridge and Slieve Gullion

Flew Mayobridge early on Friday when winds were NW. Then flew at Slieve Gullion with Rafal when winds were WSW.

November Flying

Still the unflyable wet and windy weather continues. Only 2 days flying this month so far. Maybe next week or next month or next year things will improve.

Thieving Scum

Some lowlife scum stole by Dawes Galaxy Touring bike in my hometown Dundalk on Friday 21st September 2012. Hard to believe as in all my years travelling around Europe on this bike I never encountered a problem.
Lets hope the police get them before I do.

Lacken, Blessington

A long time since I flew this site in Co.Wicklow. Beautiful site overlooking Blessington Lakes. Strong winds forced us all (Frank, Seb and myself) to land after only 30 minutes flying.
